I was very apprehensive about leaving my 10-month-old Bull Terrier puppy at a kennel. We had a dog-sitter the last time we went away and when we arrived home, Bullseye was wild. It's like she had forgotten all her training and even basic doggie manners in the time we were away. It took awhile to get her back on track.
This time, we decided to try a kennel.
We found Algergrove Kennels, went for a visit. We needed a place where dogs get one-on-one attention as Bullseye was in season. We also liked the idea of her getting training so we would not come home to a wild beast again!
The kennels are very clean, the staff very knowledgeable and I felt confident Bullseye would be very well taken care of.(in spite of those previous posts I read). I trusted my instincts! We signed up for the 1 week training and boarding.
She was shiny clean and even well manicured when we picked her up, walks beautifully on leash now, listens well to commands and we saw that she obviously developped a positive relationship with the staff there.
We would not hesitate to board her at Aldergrove again and are probably going to return for more lessons as we hope to have a Canine Good Neighbour in the future!
